Spring fishing is in full swing. More and more species are starting to make their way back to the inlet as air and water temperatures are on the rise.

The target species as of late has been spanish mackerel. They are here thick and are schooled up around the nearshore reefs and jetty. Guests this past month have seen great numbers during inshore charters with several trips catching their legal limit. In addition to spanish mackerel, the red and black drum have been consistently here and biting. The flounder bite is still making it’s way back to full swing and will be here soon.

Inshore fishing so far in April-May has been outstanding. The spanish schools always provide an awesome trip for guests looking to fill the box and have non-stop action. Fishing is solid right now and will continue to get better as we progress into the summer.
